Kodiak's resident orcas showed up this past week and I've spent several lunch times and after work stalking them up and down the waterfront. Just as the sun was setting yesterday I was able to get a couple shots.
Now, when I call them "resident," that's not to confuse them with which of the three types of orca they are; "resident," "transient," or "offshore." I use it as a term of endearment, since this pod is sea mammal-eating "transients."
