The thing that bothers me is why does the governor insist on being alone all the time? I heard she has shun her security detail. If that is really true then I think that is irresponsible of her. She is the governor of a state for crying out loud. A security detail isn't a guarantee against harm, but at the very least it's a deterrent. I know the governor is trying to send a message that she is a regular person but this is going a bit too far if you ask me. Alaska is a great place but we have our share of weirdos and idiots like anywhere else.Gotta agree with Art on this one, Sarah -- except for one point: we have more than our share of weirdos in Alaska. You owe it to us to keep yourself safe.
Here's my beef: there was no word about the accident for more than 24 hours afterwards! What up? I'm sure it was published as soon as it was found out, but who released the information, and why didn't they do it 24 hours earlier?

I sent her a letter admonishing her today as a matter of fact.
Um, I think a security detail for her would be not only a big waste of money, but a big waste of time. She doesn't want it, and she doesn't need it.
