I love how the label says "Eat 5 a Day." Um... yeah.
Have you tried it? The label says they taste like green beans, which I like....
I once had a cat that ate one of those round little cactus plants you can get - the kind with the fuzzy little needles that hurt so much when you get one in your skin. And I mean she ate all of it. There was no trace whatsoever of this plant after she was done with it, just an empty pot. Strangely, she had zero ill effects from it.
Hey, while I'm talking about Safeway: Did you know they don't carry Velveeta Mexican or Pepper Jack cheese any more? What up, did the nearby Taco Bell buy it all?

Hmmm...I've definitely never tasted cactus leaves. Wonder what they're doing for sale in a grocery store in Alaska??? I hope you'll do a post about how they taste and how you cooked them (if you do)!
Napolitos are awesome! Peel them, cut into small strips and slowing cook down in water with butter and cream, Coffeemate works great also. Ate them in Mexico. I swear, honest they are good.
I am amazed. Cactus in Alaska!
They are very good! Napolitos are called prickly pear down here.
Don't have to buy them here, just go pick them.
To balance that out, you don't want to know what the price of salmon is down here.
nopales are often served pickled. definitely peel them.
