There Needs to be a Watch List

And the author (I use that term loosely) of Wednesday's letter to the editor in the Mirror needs to be the first person on it. Here's a sample of his barely-lucid diatribe:
There is plenty of cottonwood trees out by Bell’s Flats, maybe all the liberals in Congress and all you progressives out there would like to decorate them.
It was the kind of incoherent and rambling letter usually penned by those who soon go on mass-murder shooting sprees, so I hope the Kodiak Police or the State Troopers have got their eyes on this lunatic.

There were two very good responses in the paper today from writers who suggested the Mirror exercise some editorial judgment and not print outright threats to lynch people. That would be reasonable.
